NCAS Volcano Events Notes
The aim of this website is to collect details of the Icelandic volcanic eruption and ash plume as observed and modelled by the research community. Many datasets are already being created and stored at data centres and elsewhere. This site provides a mechanism to annotate the events observed in the data (this is not a data archive itself). This site is run on behalf of NCAS, but useage is not limited NCAS staff or notes on NCAS data; we would like to hear from the EUFAR community, other NERC centres, Met agencies or anyone with an interest in the data.
There are three ways to look at this information:
- Timeline and map - to display the event notes, temporally and spatially
- Search - allows the text content of the event description to be searched
- List - allows a complete list of events to be examined by date.
